How to Make Boy's Zombie Costume
Zombie costumes are a fitting choice for boys who can't decide between dressing scary or gross. Zombies are portrayed in movies and books as the walking dead. A zombie's outfit can be based on the boy's normal clothes. The detailed part of making the costume is in how your rip and stain the clothes - but the key element of any zombie costume is in the haunting, hungrily persistent walk.

- Pants
- Scissors
- Disposable razor
- Black tea bags

Get an old outfit from the boy's closet that he won't care about destroying, or pick up some cheap clothes at a thrift store.

Rip the bottom and neckline of the shirt to make it look loose and frayed. Cut holes around the shoulders with scissors, and tear into the back of the shirt with a disposable razor.

Stick a few black tea bags in a large bowl of hot water. Place the shirt and pants in the bowl and leave them for several hours to stain the clothes to look old and dirty.

Smear dirt and grass clippings onto the clothes while they're still wet.

Hang the clothes outside and invite the boy to help you squirt them with fake blood, or mix up your own with corn starch, red food coloring and corn syrup. If it's warm outside, the fake blood will attract flies, so wait until Halloween to add it.

Add gray and purple face makeup over his face and neck. Use red makeup down the sides of his mouth to look like dripping blood.

Shake baking flour over his hair and body to add a decrepit touch to the overall costume.

Tease his hair and spray it with hairspray to look wild and unkempt.
