How to Help Bows Keep Their Shape
When you're making little girls' hair bows, it is important that they keep their shape so they continue to look nice. As bows lose their shape, they no longer sit correctly on the girl's head and can look lopsided. Most boutique bows are already made to keep their shape, but store-bought or handmade bows need extra attention to maintain the life of the bow.

1
Lay paper out across your work surface. You do not want your work surface to become sticky while you're working on the bows.
-
2
Cover any plastic, glass or metal embellishments to keep from leaving a sticky film on them. You may also want to tape the clasp if the bow is large because you will have to spray both sides on large bows. Masking tape is recommended because it is removed easily and does not leave adhesive behind.

3
Spray a light layer of spray adhesive on the front of the bow. If the bow is large, turn it over and spray a light layer on the back also.
-
4
Allow the starch to dry according to the manufacturer's directions. Remove all the masking tape off the bow.
