Instructions

    • 1

Transform the brown paper lunch bag into monster skin or fur. Keep it simple by pasting sheets of felt or colored paper to the bag. For a scaly look, cut out chunks of various colored papers, then glue them to the bag. If you want to make a furry monster, add faux fur or strips of felt or paper that have been cut repeatedly along an edge to create a fringe-like look.

    • 2

Cut two arms out of paper that are about 2" x 4". For a fearsome monster, cut tiny triangles out of white paper, then glue them onto the end of the monster's arms to make claws.

    • 3

Make some fangs. Again, cut triangles from white paper. Glue them to the bottom of the flap of the folded bag (which is actually the bottom of the bag when it is unfolded to hold something). For a goofy look, cut a strip of red paper, give it a rounded edge and glue it near the teeth to make a tongue.

    • 4

Glue some googly eyes to the flap of the lunch bag. While two is a good look for a monster, one eye, three eyes, or even more will make a scarier looking beast.

Tips & Warnings

  • Larger grocery bags also can be used to create a mega-monster.
