Blow dry bangs by pointing the blow dryer downward and brushing at the same time. While brushing bangs, direct them to a side. This step is optional, but helps add volume to your bangs. As an alternative, you can also use a round brush, while blow drying. By pointing the blow dryer down and away from the roots of your hair, you help smooth hair and make it shiny.

Iron bangs starting halfway down. This helps keep the volume at the roots. Hold the iron taut and angle your bangs towards the side. That is, if you want side bangs on the left side of your face, iron them into that desired, direction.

Spritz with hairspray for extra hold, if desired. Bangs ironed to the side, also known as side-swept bangs, help frame the face.
