How to Make a Sculpey Sculpture
Create your own whimsical clay sculptures with Sculpey, the brand name and manufacturer of a line of polymer clay products. Sculpey clays that harden do so through baking in your kitchen oven. They also offer a type of modeling clay that doesn't harden at all; you can make sculpture after sculpture and reuse the clay to your heart's content. Sculpey sculptures consist of a variety of shapes made from colored clay of various colors. Independent shapes are combined to make sculpture designs.
Here, we will make a pig out of pink Sculpey clay.
Instructions

1
Shape a palm-sized amount of pink Sculpey clay into a ball. This ball represents the pig's body, so adjust the size as you wish. Take a lump of clay 2/3 the size of the first amount and shape it to form a ball. This is the pig's head.
-
2
Make two 50-cent sized sections of pink clay into a flattened clay triangle. These are the pig's ears.
-
-
3
Shape two quarter-sized sections of pink clay into round disks. These disks are the pig's nose and neck. Make four pink clay logs, each 1-inch thick by 3/4-inch long. These are the pig's legs.
-
4
Form a section of clay 1-inch long by ½-inch wide, like a snake for the pig's tail. Shape the snake into a loop; extend the ends of the clay equally from the loop.
-
5
Press the four legs into the belly of the pig. Smooth the clay at the top of the legs into the body with your fingers. Stand the pig's body upright.
-
6
Center the neck disc onto the front of the pig's body at the top and press it into place. Center the head ball onto the neck disk. Press and smooth the clay together.
-
7
Attach the longest edge of one flattened triangle onto each side of the pig's head. Smooth the clay ear onto the clay head with your fingers. Center and press the nose disk onto the front of the pig's head. Press the pig's tail onto the back of the pig's body.
-
8
Press a toothpick into the pig's head, just above the nose to make eyes. Make two more holes with a toothpick into the pig's nose to make nostrils.
