Ralph Lauren paint is available in a wide array of colors.

Using Ralph Lauren interior paint is no different than using any other interior paint that you find at a home store. Being Ralph Lauren paint simply means that the company making the paint is using the Ralph Lauren name under license. This protects the colors and the color names from trademark infringement by other paint manufacturers. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Mask off the trim in the room to be painted using the masking tape and masking paper. Make certain to cover the floor with a tarp, drop cloth, or plastic to prevent the paint from dripping onto your floor.

    • 2

Mix the Ralph Lauren paint thoroughly with the stir stick, even if the paint was recently mixed at the store where it was purchased.

    • 3

Open the can of paint and use a paint brush to paint areas on the walls where the paint roller is unable to reach. Paint around window trim, floor boards and down several inches from the ceiling with a brush to prevent the paint roller from leaving paint lines by touching these areas.

Remove excess paint from the roller by pressing down as you roll over the graded part of the pan.

Pour approximately 1/4 of the can of paint into a paint tray, and then roll the roller through the paint to wet the paint applicator thoroughly. Squeeze out the excess on the gridded part of the paint tray.

Apply the paint to the wall using the paint roller, working from one side of the wall to the other. If your Ralph Lauren paint is a darker color, you will have to apply a second coat after the first coat of paint has "tacked up" or dried slightly. This takes approximately twenty minutes, or enough time to work from one side of the wall to the other. Continue in this fashion around the room until the painting job is completed.
