BlackBerry phones support email accounts

Research In Motion (RIM) makes the BlackBerry line of smartphones, including the 9650. Like most BlackBerry devices the 9650 supports both personal email and business email servers with push notifications and the ability to send emails directly from the phone. An email signature is a small section of text appearing at the end of the body of the email. Typically you include your title and name, address and contact information. You might also choose to include a brief quote in the signature as a personal touch. By default the signature is often "Sent from my BlackBerry smartphone."

Instructions

    • 1

Select "Messages" from the home screen on your BlackBerry. Usually the "Messages" icon is a small envelope.

    • 2

Press the "BlackBerry" menu key to the left of the trackball/pad. Select "Options" from the menu that appears. If you have multiple email accounts select the one you want to edit the signature for. If you are changing the signature on a work email account begin at step 3. If you are changing the signature for a personal email account begin at step 4.

    • 3

Select "Email preferences." Select the "Use Auto Signature" option and ensure the check box next to this option is checked. Click in the text field that appears to place your cursor inside the text field.

    • 4

Choose "Email Account Management" from the "Options" menu. Select the desired email account and select "Edit." Move your cursor into the text field.
