How to Install a Spawn on "StarCraft"
The original version of "Starcraft" allows you to install the game on multiple computers. Those computers can be networked together to play multiplayer LAN games of "Starcraft." Spawning is not supported by the BattleChest edition of "Starcraft" or the downloadable version from Battle.net. You can determine which disc-based version of the game you have by looking on the packaging or on the disc itself. If there is no mention of Windows Vista, you can install a spawn.

Insert "Starcraft" disc into your computer. The autorun window will open.

Click "Install Spawn."

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. You'll be asked to agree to terms and conditions and to select an installation directory.
