How to Convert PNG to PSD
PNG is a generic image format. PSD, on the other hand, is a proprietary Adobe Photoshop format that can only be used with that program. It stores not only the image data, but all the other Photoshop cues, including hidden layers, image history, and editing changes. To convert a PNG to a PSD is easy, and you will be able to make edits with Photoshop.

Right-click the PNG file you wish to convert.

Select "Open with" and choose "Adobe Photoshop" from the list of available programs. You may have to browse your hard drive for the program if it does not appear in the list.

After the image opens in Photoshop, click the "File" drop-down menu and select "Save As."

Select the "Save As Type" drop-down menu and choose "Photoshop Document (*.psd)." It will likely be selected by the default.
