How to Remove Baby Teeth
When your child loses his baby teeth it means he is growing up. At the age of about 6 years old, baby teeth, also referred to as primary teeth or milk teeth, fall out. The roots of the baby teeth dissolve, making the teeth fall out to create room for permanent teeth. If your child fears swallowing his loose tooth and therefore disappointing the tooth fairy, you can help him remove his tooth.

Observe how loose the tooth is. Have your child wiggle the tooth with his tongue. Only consider removing the tooth if it is very loose and sheds minimal or no blood. Your child should not experience any pain when wiggling his tooth.
