Background noise may require you to speak more loudly into the Bluetooth headset.

Bluetooth headsets offer a convenient way to talk on your cell phone without having to hold the phone to your ear. Before making and receiving calls on the device, you must program your cell phone to recognize the Bluetooth device. Your phone must have Bluetooth support for the devices to connect to each other. Check your phone's user manual for Bluetooth support before attempting to connect the headset. If your phone has Bluetooth technology, follow the instructions with your Bluetooth model to complete setup. Instructions will differ depending on your model.

Instructions

    • 1

Place your headset into "discovery" mode. For example, Motorola Bluetooth users press the "Multifunction" button for three seconds and then open the headset boom.

    • 2

Pair the headset with your phone. For example, Motorola phones click "Settings" "Connection," "Bluetooth Link" "Hands Free "and "Scan all." Press "YES" to connect the headset to the phone. Enter the Bluetooth Password, "0000" and press "OK," "Link" and "End".

    • 3

Place the headset on your ear according to your device instructions. For example, Motorola Bluetooth users open the boom and earhook then loop the earhook to your ear. Press the entire headset to your head and point the boom toward your mouth.

    • 4

Dial a number on your phone and speak normally. The Bluetooth headset will pickup your voice. You may have to speak louder if you are in an area with significant background noise.
