How to Control Swarmer Termites

1
Vacuum up termite in the house. If termites are in your house, they will die quickly from lack of moisture. Locate the source of entry and vacuum them up.
-
2
Look for evidence of termite infestation and access points. Termite swarmers look for moist soil in close proximity to wood. They will swarm and fly a short distance, drop their wings and burrow into the soil. Look for termite wings and the presence of dirt-like shelter tubes over foundations.

3
Place termite bait in areas of suspected infestation. Termites will carry the bait into the colony and the poison will kill them all.
-
4
Use liquid termiticide around the perimeter of the foundation to prevent subterranean termites from gaining access to your home.
-
5
Seal all cracks and holes in the foundation of the home to deny access to termites.
-
6
Install insect screens over vents leading into the home.
-
7
Clear away all wood debris from around the home.
