How to Select a Desktop Background
Your desktop background can be your little window of individuality, a way to differentiate yourself from everyone else. You might use photos of family, paintings you love or any number of images. You need not be limited to a single image.

1
Find a selection of images that you wish to use as your desktop background. The required size for the images will depend on your screen resolution. For example, if your current resolution is 1280 x 800, then you should select an image that can be displayed fully at that size. Images with a lower resolution will have to be tiled or shown with black bars to keep them from being distorted.

In Linux, select "Add" and browse your hard drive, double click your desired image and that is now your background.

Decide if you want to use multiple images. In all three systems you will be provided with the option of selecting multiple images, creating a timed slideshow.

In Windows, select multiple photos at once, and the operating system will create a slideshow based on your selections.
