Style hair. Decide whether you want waves, curls or an updo, the headband braid works with all. Apply anti-frizz product.
-

Using a fine-tooth comb, create a deep side part in your hair, starting right at the arch of your eyebrow.

-
3
Lift 2 to 3 inches of hair beginning at the hairline. This hair will be the beginning of the braid, so ensure that you're satisfied with the width and location. If you have bangs or want some wispy strands loose, start the braid behind them.

Begin a cornrow braid at the part, making it loose or tight depending on your preference.
-
5
Braid your hair down across the head. If you have short hair you can stop the braid at the top of the ear, tie with a rubber band and tuck the end behind the ear. If you have longer hair, you can continue braiding and secure the ends with a bobby pin on the other side of the deep part.

Style the rest of your hair. You can pull it back into an updo, or leave it down and tousled.
