How to Reinstall the HTML Default Editor to Internet Explorer 6
Internet Explorer 6's options dialog contains a pane that lets users select their default programs. Users can select default programs for email, newsgroups, calendars and editing HTML files. The default HTML editor in Internet Explorer 6 is Notepad. If you've installed and then uninstalled a different HTML editor, you might have to set the HTML editor to the default HTML editor of Notepad before the "Edit" option works properly on HTML files.
