The HTC EVO 4G LTE, like any other device, has a finite amount of memory used to store applications. When this memory fills up, it is no longer possible to install new applications; the only solution is to uninstall, or remove, applications you no longer use to make room for the new ones you want. HTC makes the process for removing an unneeded app very straightforward, and you can accomplish this task directly from the EVO's home screen. You can only remove downloaded applications -- it is not possible to remove applications that come with your phone.
Tap the "All Apps" icon on the EVO's home screen. The icon's picture is a four-by four set of squares.
Tap and hold your finger on the application you want to remove.
Drag the application to the section that reads "Uninstall" in the upper left corner of the screen. When the icon turns red, remove your finger from the screen.
Tap the "Uninstall" button on the confirmation window to completely remove that app from your HTC EVO 4G LTE.
Tips & Warnings
- If you cannot remove an application, the "Uninstall" section will not appear at the top of the screen when you tap and hold that app.
- You can reinstall deleted applications from the Google Play store.
- When you delete an application, all information saved within it is also deleted.
