How to Reset an iPod Video 80GB

Your 80GB iPod Video relies on the iTunes operating software to properly playback your music, videos and digital photos. Reset the iPod Video if it suddenly freezes or is not operating correctly. The reset process will resolve minor operating errors with the iPod's software, but will not have any adverse effect on the digital files saved to iPod's hard drive.

Instructions

1. Slide the "Hold" switch to the "ON" position, and then back to the "Off" position.

2. Press the "Menu" and "Select" buttons at the same. Keep the buttons pushed down until the "Apple" picture appears on the iPod's screen.

3. Release the buttons to perform a reset on your iPod Video. The iPod's software will be returned to the a functional operating condition.
