How to Print Out PowerPoint Slideshows

While Microsoft designed its PowerPoint software to serve as an electronic version of the old-timey slideshows, the software also came with options to provide hard copies of its digital slides. Print out PowerPoint slideshows to use as accompaniment to an on-screen presentation, to reinforce the information an audience just took in or to share the details with persons who aren't able to attend or view the on-screen presentation. Go from on-screen to in-hand in a couple of clicks.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Microsoft PowerPoint. Click the "File" tab and select "Open." Locate the presentation to print and double-click the file name.

    • 2

Click the "File" tab again. Click "Print."

    • 3

Choose the printer from the "Printer" drop-down menu or leave the default as is. Make any changes to the print setup options -- the PowerPoint defaults are to print all slides as full pages, collated, in color.

    • 4

Click up the "Copies" box to adjust the number of copies of the presentation to print. Click the "Print" button.
