How to Get Guards in "Ragnarok"
Ragnarok Online is a free to play massively multi-player online role playing game (MMORPG). The game features a combat system where players are able to group together to fight against monsters, guild wars (War of Emperium) and a pet system. Like many other MMORPGs, Ragnarok Online allows players to purchase, find and equip weapons and armor, including shields. Basic shields are available from weapon shops and are equipped by all classes. The most basic of these shields is known as a "Guard." An unslotted Guard may be purchased for 500 zeny from an armor dealer.

Vist any town. Guards are purchasable from all towns.

Speak to the guide near the entrance of the town. Ask the guide where the weapon or armor shop is located. He marks the location on your mini map, located at the upper right portion of your screen.

Follow the arrow to the armor shop. Walk inside and speak to the NPC (non-playable character) to purchase a Guard. Drag the Guard from the shop owner's inventory to the "Buy" window.

Click the "Buy" button to confirm your purchase.

Tips & Warnings
The Guards bought in armor shops do not have a slot. To get a slotted Guard (Guard [1]) you will need to either buy one from a player or hunt one on your own. Monsters that drop Guard [1] are Kraben, Beetle King, Thief Bug Egg, PecoPeco Egg, Pupa, Laurell Weinder and Kathryne Keyron.
Guard [1] is a shield that may have a card inserted to it. Cards add various attributes to your equipment. Cards may be purchased from players or found from monsters.
Sometimes the guide will group together the weapon and armor shops or it may simply be called "Weapon Shop." This is because armor shops and weapon shops are in the same building.
