How to Transfer a Book From My Kindle to My Amazon Account
You can store 3,500 books on your Kindle device, but at times you don't want a book on your Kindle but still want to have access to it in the future. All your Kindle purchases store under the "Manage My Kindle" section of Amazon.com, as well as on the Kindle itself. When you remove a book from the Kindle, it is automatically transferred and saved in the "Your Orders" area of the Manage My Kindle page on Amazon, and if you want to download it to the Kindle again in the future you may do so. To remove a book from your Kindle and transfer it to Amazon.com, follow a few easy steps.

Move the Kindle power switch to the right to power the device on.

Click down on the five-way controller to navigate through the list of books until the title you want to transfer is underlined.

Click right on the five-way controller. A new screen which features an image of the book's cover will load.

Click down on the five-way controller until "Remove From Device" is underlined. Click the center of the five-way controller to remove the book from the Kindle. The book is no longer on your Kindle but is on Amazon, where you can see it under the "Your Orders" area.

Tips & Warnings
If you want to add the removed book to your Kindle again in the future, choose the "Archived Items" folder on the Kindle home screen. Click down to underline the book title, press the center of the five-way controller, and wait while the book downloads again. After download it will appear on your home screen as before.
When you remove a book from the Kindle, you will not get a notification on-screen. However, you can check the "Archived Items" folder on your Kindle to see a list of all books you have removed from the device.
