How to Find a Craigslist Posting
Craigslist allows you to post classifieds ads online for a variety of purposes, including the purchase and sale of goods and the advertisement and procurement of job opportunities and real estate. Find specific Craigslist ads by narrowing down the geographical location and category of the post for which you're looking, then entering keywords unique to the ad.

Visit the Craigslist website that corresponds to the location of the ad you seek. When you navigate to the main Craigslist website, it defaults to the one closest to your current geographical location. To view another Craigslist site, click through the navigation menu on the right side of the website -- examples of options include "Nearby CL," "US Cities" and "CL Worldwide."

Click the category that corresponds to the ad you're trying to find, being as specific as possible. For example, if you know the ad you're looking for advertises an apartment or house sublet, click "Sublets/Temporary" under housing. If, on the other hand, you only know that it's a job of some kind, click the main "Jobs" heading.

Enter keywords to help Craigslist narrow down your list of results. If you know your job is being offer by ABC Company, for example, enter "ABC" into the search field and click enter. For real estate and merchandise ads, enter a price range into which you know the property or item falls.

Inspect individual ads if you can't identify the one you're trying to find based on title alone. Bookmark the ad in your browser so you don't have to search for it again.
