How to Delete Preloaded Ringtones on a BlackBerry Curve 8330

Free up memory on your BlackBerry Curve 8330 by deleting preloaded ringtones.

The BlackBerry Curve 8330 is a powerful smartphone with the ability to store a substantial amount of data. However, similar to many other smartphones, once the memory on the device is almost to capacity, the phone can start to lag. If you want to free up some space on your BlackBerry Curve 8330, you can do so by deleting the preloaded ringtones from your device. You can delete all of the preloaded ringtones, except the normal, vibrate only and all alert sound profiles.

Instructions

1. Scroll to the "Sound" icon from your BlackBerry home screen and press the trackball to open the application.

2. Select "Edit Profile" then highlight a preloaded ringtone profile that you would like to delete.

3. Press the "Menu" key and select "Delete." Continue this process to delete the remaining preloaded ringtones, except normal, vibrate only and all alert.
