How to Enhance Eyes in Photoshop Elements 7
Relatives at your family reunion stare back at you, red-eyed from the flash photography. You cannot retake the picture, but the image is relatively easy to fix. With a little help from Adobe Photoshop Elements and a minor amount of expertise, your red-eyed relatives can look normal again in minutes. Elements is the consumer version of Photoshop, the well-known image editing software. Elements is often used by hobbyists and includes most of the features of the original product, with slightly fewer, simpler features. Elements also retails for a fraction of the price of Photoshop itself.
Instructions

Fixing Red Eyes
-
1
Open the "fix" tab by clicking on it.
-
2
Select a photo in which the subject has red pupils.
-
-
3
Click the "auto red eye fix" on the "fix" tab. This feature copies the chosen photo and changes the red pupils to black. The original version is automatically saved untouched.
Changing Eye Color
-
4
Select the subject's eyes on the image layer with the selection brush. You can now change the color of the subject's eyes by using the hue/saturation adjustment layer.
-
5
Create a new hue/saturation layer on top of the image layer. The new adjustment layer includes a mask containing black and white circles in the area of the eyes.
-
6
Check "colorize" in the hue/saturation dialog box. Adjust the hue, saturation and lightness sliders until you find an appropriate color.
Brighten the Eyes
-
7
Choose the section of the eye that needs brightening. You may choose the iris and pupil, or the white, or both.
-
8
Click on the half-black, half-white circles near the top of the layers palette. Add a levels adjustment layer.
-
9
Open the levels dialogue box by clicking on the adjustment layer thumbnail.
-
10
Type "212" in the input levels graph on the right side. Hit "OK."
-
