How to Reset Firefox in Win7

Mozilla Firefox is a Web browser that can be used on the Windows 7 operating system. Firefox operates much like any other web browser. However, it is an open-source browser, which means that various apps can be added in order to customize the browsing experience. Sometimes you may need to reset Firefox to erase private websites that were visited, as well as clear cookies and security settings so it can appear Firefox was installed for the first time.

      Click the orange "Firefox" icon located at the top left of the Firefox browser. Firefox is written in white letters with a small white arrow pointing down.

      Navigate to the "Help" section, and select "Restart with Add-on Disabled." Firefox will close and a safe mode box will appear that will provide options for resetting Firefox.

      Left-click within the boxes available to select "Reset toolbars and controls." Then select "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" and then "Restore default search engines." You can also click the box to delete all bookmarks.
