The Toshiba Satellite L305D is one of the manufacturer's old mid-level laptop models, introduced in 2007 and discontinued at time of publication. As with any computer, it's possible to connect it to a TV. Thanks to the Satellite's VGA port, you can connect the laptop to a VGA-supported TV and use the television as a second computer monitor.

      Turn off your computer and TV.

      Use the VGA cable to connect the Satellte and your TV. The VGA port is located near the laptop's spine on the far left-hand side of its chassis. On your TV, the VGA port will be located on its backside. The VGA port is a rhombus-shaped connector with several internal pins.

      Turn on the TV and computer.

      Set your TV's display mode to VGA. Now, your computer's desktop will be extended onto the TV, allowing you to use it as a secondary monitor.
