1. Find a printing company that makes custom postcards. Read reviews to ensure that you're taking your business to somewhere reputable. Photojojo, Snapio and Zazzle are among the companies you could choose.

2. Use a good-quality digital camera and take snapshots of what you want to appear on the postcard. Delete all the pictures you don't want to use. Transfer the remaining pictures from to your computer.

3. Choose the size you want. Use any other options to customize your postcard, including the company's design tool, if they have one. Most design tools allow you to upload pictures from your computer, add text and choose orientation.

4. Enter the number of postcards you want. Some companies give discounts for bulk purchases. For example, in May 2011, Zazzle lowered the cost per postcard from $.95 to $.60 if you buy 500 of them.
