How to Get Free Leads for Home Business Opportunities
When you run a home-based business, you do not have the opportunity to be out among potential customers and other professionals like other business owners do. This can severely limit your networking opportunities, which ultimately translates into fewer leads to help you get your business going. Unfortunately, many of the tactics used to get leads cost money and home-based businesses don't always have extra funds to spare -- especially if you're just getting started. But there are plenty of ways to get leads for your business that don't cost a cent.

1
Tell everyone you know you're accepting new business. This includes friends and family, ex-colleagues, current clients and even your hair dresser. You never know who might be able to get you a free lead.
-
2
Join a few networking group. Networking groups are designed for business owners to help each other get leads, and not all of them include membership fees.

3
Post new content on your website. A blog or e-newsletter that's updated each week can help drive more traffic to your website, bringing you free leads for your home business.
-
4
Offer something for free. A booklet, webinar, e-book or even a short fact sheet can help entice buyers and get you more leads. Create the free item yourself so you don't lose money when giving it away.

Send out a direct mail package with other business professionals. For example, if you run a Web design company from your home, get together with other business-to-business companies, such as a copywriter, marketing firm, computer salesperson and graphic designer. Volunteer to put together the direct mail package. Collect money from the other businesses to pay for the cost and add your ad for free.
