How to Shrink OBJ File Size
An OBJ file stores information for recreating a mesh object in three dimensions. It is used to store information about computer-generated models, such as those used in three-dimensional art programs, such as Poser. This data can consist of value defining points, lines, polygons and surfaces, producing very large files. While these files are not normally an issue on your hard drive, they can take up too much space on media or take too long to transmit over the Internet. Shrinking the file sizes can make them more manageable.
