How to Make a Totem Macro

Save

Totems are unique to shamans in World of Warcraft and provide either the shaman or the shaman's party with additional damage, healing, regeneration or other bonuses when deployed. While a shaman can cast four totems at once with the shaman totem bar, you may occasionally want to cast two or three totems instead of your normal four. With the use of a macro, you can cast multiple totems with one button.

  • Sign in to the game with your shaman and click the "Game Menu" button. Click "Macros."

  • Click "New" and choose an icon for your new macro. Type in the macro name and click "Okay."

  • Type "/castsequence" without quotations in the macro box. Press the spacebar on your keyboard, then type the totem you wish to cast first, followed by the totem you wish to cast second, third and so on. Place a comma between each totem. The totem name must be spelled correctly. For example, if you wanted to cast Windfury Totem and Searing Totem, you would type "/castsequence windufury totem, searing totem" without quotation marks.

  • Place the macro on one of your bars. Click the macro once to deploy the first totem, and click it again to deploy the next totem.
