PowerPoint includes shortcuts for adding font effects, such as strike-through, italics or subscript, to any text in your presentation. Like other products in the Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint also allows you to underline important words or phrases on a slide to help emphasize important aspects of your presentation. Microsoft's use of hot-keys makes it possible to underline text identically in all versions of PowerPoint.
