How to Force Internet Explorer 8 to Remember Fields

You can use Internet Explorer 8's AutoComplete function to make your browser remember the information that you regularly type into web forms. Internet Explorer will then automatically complete the required information when you load a new form on a website. This feature enables you to save time while filling in web forms. You can enable AutoComplete and make it remember the information you type into web forms in just a few steps.

  • Open your Windows Start menu, click on "All Programs" and select "Internet Explorer" to launch the program.

  • Click on the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options."

  • Click on the "Content" tab and click on the "Settings" button under the "AutoComplete" category.

  • Click on the check box next to "Forms" to activate it and click on "OK" twice to save your new settings. Internet Explorer will now remember the details you type in web forms and automatically fill in new forms with those details.
