Perfect waves don't happen everyday, and you may not always want to take your surfboard to a repair shop whiile your friends are catching perfect swells. Fortunately, you can repair small surfboard dings with crazy glue. Do it right on the beach so you don't miss any of the action.

Instructions

    • 1

Clean the surface of your board. Remove all sand and allow the board to completely dry. It's best to leave your board to sit for at least one hour to ensure that the moisture has been removed.

    • 2

Clean the ding with your knife, being careful not to further damage the board. Remove leftover pieces and loose debris that may be wedged inside the crack. If you're fixing your surfboard on the beach, this should be done away from the sand to prevent dirt from getting inside.

    • 3

Gather your supplies. Crazy glue dries quickly and can be messy when applying. Wear gloves and have a damp cloth nearby to wipe up any spills.

    • 4

Apply the crazy glue to the ding. Fill the crack with glue, but not to overflowing. If glue does overflow, wipe it away with your cloth before it has a chance to dry.

    • 5

Wait for the crazy glue to dry. Ideally, wait 24 hours for the best protection, although the glue may be dry in as little as one. After the glue is dry, you can also add a surf sticker over the ding. This isn't necessary, but surfboard stickers create a waterproof seal that will help the crazy glue to last longer.

Tips & Warnings
