Bubbles in a gel wax candle are common.

Gel wax is a versatile material that can be used to create attractive candles. It's essentially made of mineral oil and polymer resin, but you can add fragrance oil and a wick to make an original scented candle for your home. One problem with using gel wax to make candles is that the wax tends to get bubbles. These bubbles are not attractive and can cause problems when burning the candle. Getting rid of them is the best thing to do.

Step 2

Place the gel wax candle inside the oven once it's completely heated. Your base should be glass or metal, which can go in the oven and that will also prevent bubbles while making the candle.

Step 3

Leave the gel wax candle in the oven for about 25 minutes to remove as many bubbles as possible.

Step 4

Take the gel wax candle out of the oven using pot holders. Remember, it will be very hot.

Step 5

Place the gel wax candle in direct sunlight if you can still see bubbles you want to get rid of. The sunlight will keep the gel wax hot so the wax will settle more to remove the bubbles.
