How to Use Skype to Go

Use Skype To Go to call international phone numbers from your mobile.

Skype To Go is free to set up, but requires Skype Credit or a subscription to Skype. Skype To Go is a Skype feature that allows you to input someone's phone number and then get a Skype phone number for him. You can call his Skype number from a landline or cell phone at the Skype specified per minute rate.

Instructions

1. Purchase Skype Credit or a Skype subscription. To buy a subscription, go to Skype's homepage, roll your mouse over "Prices" and then select "Skype Premium." Click "Buy a Day Pass" or "Buy a Subscription." To buy Skype Credit, go to Skype's homepage, roll your mouse over "Prices" and then select "Skype Credit." Click "Buy Skype Credit," and then sign into your account. Follow the payment instructions to buy your selected amount of credit.

2. Go to Skype's homepage, roll your mouse over "Features" and then select "Skype To Go number." Click on "Set up Skype To Go," then sign into your Skype account. From here, you will need to register your cell phone number that you will use to call your Skype To Go numbers. Follow the prompts to set up Skype To Go for your account.

3. Add a contact to your Skype To Go account. Select the tab "Skype To Go Number." Click "Add a Contact." Select the country where your contact lives, her name, and phone number. Click "Save" when you are finished. Repeat this step to add up to nine contacts to your Skype To Go account. You can view all your contacts' Skype To Go numbers by clicking on the tab "Skype To Go Number." Their Skype numbers will be next to their names.

4. Call a contact by dialing his Skype To Go number on the cell phone that you registered in the set up process.
