      Prepare the two cake flavors according to the recipe or package directions in two separate bowls.

      Preheat your oven to the required temperature for your cakes. Most cakes are usually baked at 325 or 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

      Grease the pans using the paper towels and flour the pan you intend to use for your cakes. If you plan to use both batters completely you will need either two nine inch cake pans or on 11-by-14 inch cake pan to accommodate the volume.
