How to Make Putty for Oobleck
Oobleck, named after the Dr. Seuss Book "Bartholomew and the Oobleck," is a non-Newtonian fluid you can make at home. This putty-like substance has the properties of a liquid when you press your finger or an object into it slowly. It gives way, allowing the object to sink down. However, when you hit a non-Newtonian fluid hard, it resists, causing the object to bounce back. Making your own Oobleck is an inexpensive, educational science project.
