How to Draw a Bear King Cake
A King cake is a special cake that is baked for pre-Lenten Mardi Gras festivals. It looks like a circular braided ring. You can draw this form on a piece of craft paper and then add a bear image to the top of the cake. You can complete this simple art project with a few simple craft supplies, and then follow it with baking a real King cake with your children.

Place your piece of craft paper on your work space.

Draw a large circle that takes up the majority of the paper.

Draw an inner circle about two inches from the inside border of the first circle. This is your "King Cake" base.

Draw lines that are in the form of a ">" around the inside of the ring of the King cake. This will form the look of braiding.

Draw the face of a bear on the top of the King cake. You can draw a simple bear by drawing a small circle for the face and two half circles on top of the bear's face to represent the ears. Decorate the face with your personalized features.

Color your King cake with the bear embellishment with a variety of colored pencils.
