How to Hide Documents

The Documents folder on your computer contains a number of personal files that you may not want other people accessing. If you wish to stop other people viewing the documents, you can use your file properties to to make a file hidden. Once the file is hidden, you can only gain access to it by selecting the option to view all hidden files.

Instructions

      Turn on your computer and wait for the dashboard to load up.

      Click on the "Start" button on the left side of the desktop task bar. Select "Documents" on the right side of the Start menu.

      Locate the file within your documents that you would like to hide.

      Right-click on the file with your mouse, and select "Properties."

      Locate the word "Hidden" at the bottom on the "General" tab. Tick the box next to Hidden and click on the "OK" button to confirm the changes. The document will now be hidden.
