Ribeye steak, a rib steak without the bone, cut from the rib roast, can be satisfactorily prepared with no more than a few dashes of salt and pepper. Or you can choose to spice things up a bit and make a rub that will add flavor and texture to the ribeye. Switch out certain ingredients in the rub to make a seasoning concoction that tantalizes your taste buds. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 4 10-ounce ribeye steaks
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 2 tbsp. lemon pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil

Instructions

      Mix well 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt. 2 tbsp. lemon pepper and 1/2 tsp. garlic powder in a small bowl.

      Place the ribeye steaks on a cutting board and brush all surfaces of each steak with olive oil, or pat them dry with clean paper towels if you don't want to use oil.

      Rub the seasoning mixture onto each side of each ribeye steak. Coat the steaks with as much rub as you prefer.

      Gently place the steaks on the cooking surface so you won't disturb the rub.

  • Don't be afraid to experiment with seasonings to find a rub that you really like.
