How to Tag Notes on Facebook

Facebook notes are published on your profile.

Facebook notes allow you to share your written thoughts on just about anything. Include photos in your notes to add interest or help explain what you're describing. Like most Facebook features, notes may be shared with the community at large or kept private so that only your friends have access. If you mention a friend in your note, tag her so that she knows she was included -- the note will show up on her profile as well as yours.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Notes" link in the left-side column of your Facebook homepage.

2. Click on "My Notes" in the left-hand column of the screen. Click on the name of a note to open it and then click "Edit" in the top right corner of the page. Begin to type the name of a friend in the "Tags" field at the bottom of the note -- Facebook generates a list of possible matches. Tag a friend by clicking on her name once.

3. Click on the "Write a Note" icon in the top right corner of the "My Notes" screen to pen a new note. Type the name of a friend in the "Tags" field and select her profile from the list of possible matches, clicking it once.

4. Click "Publish" at the bottom of the screen.
