How to Convert a TIFF to a JPG With IrfanView

IrfanView, a free image-viewing program, can open and edit several different digital picture file formats, including TIFF and JPG. For many purposes, it will not matter what type of format your image file is. However, some programs do not recognize certain formats. For example, you might want to use a TIFF in a program that only recognizes JPG. You can convert the TIFF to JPG with IrfanView.

Instructions

1. Open the TIFF in IrfanView.

2. Click the "File" menu.

3. Click "Save As."

4. Click the "Save as File Type" menu and choose ".jpg" from the list.

5. Click "Save."
