The Samsung a436 phone is available on the AT&T network. With this basic-feature phone, you have the ability to send and receive phone calls and text messages. This phone also includes a VGA camera, speakerphone and Bluetooth wireless technology. Setting up your a436 AT&T phone is relatively simple. First, charge your phone before you attempt to set up your voice mail and make calls.

      Turn off your cellphone. Slide off the protective cover, located on the back of your phone.

      Insert the SIM card (with the metal plates down) into the top socket. Insert the battery (with its name facing upwards) until it clicks into place.

      Slide the protective cover back on.

      Plug the power adapter into the right side of your phone. Plug the other end into a wall outlet. Look for the full battery icon, which indicates it is fully charged.

      Open your phone, and press and hold the red button until it turns on. Enter your lock code and PIN, if prompted. The lock code should be the last four digits of your mobile number, and the default PIN is "0000."

      Press the "Menu" button. Navigate to "Call History" and select "Voice Mail." Follow the prompts to create a password, voice greeting and mailbox name.

Tips & Warnings

  • Press the speakerphone button (on the right side) to turn on your speakerphone.

  • Add your family and friends to your contact list.

  • Press the camera icon on the left side of the phone to take pictures.
