Steps in Threading Eyebrows
Thread your eyebrows to create sharp, neatly groomed brows. Cotton thread is used to eliminate unwanted hair around the eyebrow, the glabella (the area between the brows) and on the body. The thread captures several pieces of hair in a line and pulls it out to create precise lines. Eyebrow threading is a preferred hair-removal technique because it is natural, quicker than plucking and lasts up to four weeks. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Durable cotton thread is required for threading as it will not break during the process. Trim a piece of cotton thread to 2 feet long. Tie the ends of the string together to form a big circle.
-
2
Hold the thread out with both hands to form a rectangle. Twist the thread 10 times, making the center coiled. The twisted part will be centered, and your hands will be holding two end loops.

Moving the coil from left to right is good practice for threading, and will loosen the thread. Hold the ends of the thread between the thumb and finger on both sides. Extend your finger and thumb on the left side, so the coil of the thread moves to the left. Close the thumb and finger of your left hand, and open the right thumb and finger. The coil will move to the right. Repeat until the twisted portion moves from left to right easily.

4
Press the twisted portion of the thread to the side of the hair your want to remove. Start at the space between the brows. Move the twisted portion from left to right by opening and extending your fingers. You will use the process you learned in Step 3. The coil will capture hair.
-
5
Pull the thread up. The captured hair will be pulled out. Continue threading at the bottom of your eyebrows, then thread your brows at the top.

Tips & Warnings
Threading is not only for the eyebrows. You can thread hair all over your body.
Threading will be painful to some. Apply ice to the eyebrow area for 10 minutes prior to threading to numb the skin.
