How to Get Bookmark Toolbars for Internet Explorer

How to Get Bookmark Toolbars for Internet Explorer thumbnail
Bookmark Web pages to find them quickly in your browser.

You can customize Internet Explorer to improve your browsing experience. The bookmark toolbar, also known as the Favorites bar, allows you to save Web pages you find useful or want to revisit. A bookmarked page is saved to your computer, so it's not removed when you close the browser or clear your cache (where temporary files are stored on your computer). The Favorites bar works hand-in-hand with the Favorites button, which gives you quick access to pages you've bookmarked.

Instructions

    • 1

      Start Internet Explorer.

    • 2

Right-click an empty area in the navigation bar (the top area of your browser that contains the "Back," "Forward," "Home" and "Tools" buttons). A pop-up menu will open.

    • 3

Select "Favorites bar" from the menu and it will be added to your browser.

    • 4

Click the "Favorites" button (the yellow star in the top left of your window) or press "Alt+C." A menu will display. Select the "Favorites" tab in the menu. Click "Favorites bar" to view or open bookmarked pages.
