If you've ever wanted to click on a link to show a lone post on Twitter, it is indeed possible. Twitter not only shows tweets (Twitter updates) on your Twitter home page as a stream, but separate tweets can also be linked to. Each tweet has its own "permalink," which means each tweet has a permanent URL that can be copied and shared. You can learn how to click to a single post on Twitter by following a few steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit the Twitter website at Twitter.com and sign in to your account.

    • 2

Find a tweet on your Twitter home page or visit the Twitter page of a user that has a tweet you'd like a permanent link to.

    • 3

Hover your mouse over the tweet to display a set of links.

    • 4

Click on the link that states how long ago the tweet was sent. For example, some tweets might say "5 minutes ago" or "2 hours ago." Tweets sent over a day ago will show the date, such as "May 1." After clicking the link, you will be on a new page that shows nothing but that tweet. The URL in your Web browser's address bar is the tweet's permalink.
