How to Make an Avocado & Oatmeal Mask
There are several causes of dry skin, especially on the face, according to the Mayo Clinic. The cold temperatures of winter, excessive sun exposure, frequent hot showers and the use of harsh soaps all remove moisture from the skin. A natural, inexpensive way to moisturize the skin is through the use of avocado and oatmeal. Both of these ingredients are combined to make an effective mask that will soften your skin and can be used on rough patches on your body as well on your face. Does this Spark an idea?

Cut an avocado in half lengthwise with a sharp knife and scoop out the flesh from one side with a spoon.

Place the avocado flesh into a bowl and smash it with a fork.

Add 1/4 cup oatmeal and 3 tbsp. whole milk to the bowl.

Stir the ingredients well and cover any dry areas on your face and body, including elbows and knees, with a thick layer of the avocado and oatmeal mask.

Allow the mask to remain on the skin for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing it away with warm water.
