The cold temperatures of winter, excessive sun exposure, frequent hot showers and the use of harsh soaps all remove moisture from the skin. A natural, inexpensive way to moisturize the skin is through the use of avocado and oatmeal. Things You'll Need

  • 1 avocado
  • Sharp knife
  • Spoon
  • Small bowl
  • Fork
  • Oatmeal
  • Whole milk

Instructions

      Cut an avocado in half lengthwise with a sharp knife and scoop out the flesh from one side with a spoon.

      Place the avocado flesh into a bowl and smash it with a fork.

      Add 1/4 cup oatmeal and 3 tbsp. whole milk to the bowl.

      Stir the ingredients well and cover any dry areas on your face and body, including elbows and knees, with a thick layer of the avocado and oatmeal mask.

      Allow the mask to remain on the skin for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing it away with warm water.
