Shrinkwrap is used to package retail products during shipment.

Shrinkwrap is a plastic packaging film used to tightly seal two or more items together, commonly used when packaging and shipping boxes, cans and cartons. Shrinkwrap is available in a variety of strengths, shrink ratios and thicknesses. Available in film rolls for large jobs and small bags for individual items, you can seal it with a heating gun and sealer. Movers, shipping companies and individuals can use shrinkwrap to pack and transport items.

Instructions

    • 1

Wrap the shrinkwrap around your packages or items and seal the ends of the wrap. Be sure you have enough shrinkwrap to cover the products. Use the film roll for large products and the bags for individual items.

    • 2

Use a gas or electric heating gun to evenly distribute heat to the shrinkwrap until the wrap shrinks around the products or package.

    • 3

Apply heat directly to any areas not sealed tightly and ensure that your products or package are completely enclosed by the shrinkwrap.
