How to Install Picasa 2.7 Using Linux on Ubuntu
Picasa is a free image viewer, organizer and editor developed by search engine giant Google. Picasa is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux systems. Picasa for Linux is not a pure Linux application. It is a specially coded Windows program which uses the open source Windows emulator called Wine to run on Linux. The Linux version of Picasa is usually older than the Mac or Windows versions. For instance on April 29, 2011, the latest Picasa for Linux release was 3.0 beta: the Mac and Windows versions were at version 3.8.
