Instructions

    • 1

Place a page of a broadsheet newspaper on a work surface. Put another page across it to create eight points.

    • 2

Place the pages over a person's head and crunch them down to create a dome shape with the person's head. Streak masking tape around the person's head, just above the ears.

    • 3

Crumple up the sides to create the sombrero's brim. Streak white glue along the top of the sombrero. Scatter sprinkles around the top. Flip the hat over to let the loose sprinkles fall off.

    • 4

Draw any additional shapes with a marker. Tie a ribbon around the location where you put the masking tape.

    • 5

Add any additional decorations such as buttons, yarn or flowers. Glue a string to the top of the brim and connect it to the other side.
