How to Retrieve & Delete a Facebook Photo Album

Remove photo albums from Facebook by retrieving and deleting them from your account.

Uploading an album of photos to Facebook is a handy way to share pictures with friends. If you've previously uploaded an album of photos to Facebook, but no longer want to share them with your Facebook contacts, then you can retrieve and delete the photo album. This deletes the album and all the photos it contains. You will need to log in to your Facebook account to retrieve and delete the album from the "Photos" section of your Facebook profile.

Instructions

1. Launch the computer's Web browser and sign in to your Facebook account.

2. Click "Profile" from the menu at the top of your Facebook home page.

3. Click "Photos" from the left-hand navigation menu. This displays all the photo albums you've previously uploaded.

4. Double-click the photo album that you want to retrieve and delete.

5. Click the "Edit Album Info" link at the bottom of the page or, on some Web browsers, the "Edit Album" link under the album heading. This launches the "Edit Album" pop-up window.

6. Click the "Delete Album" link at the bottom of the pop-up window.

7. Click the "Delete Album" button when prompted to confirm that you want to delete the album. This deletes the album from Facebook.

Tips & Warnings

• Remove individual photos from within albums by clicking the "Delete This Photo" link under the photo.

• Deleting the album will also remove all friend tags and photo comments.
